$38.90 per metre.
An unusual south Indian cotton with a soft and silky handle, similar to sateen. A beautiful rust brown that has been hand dyed using an Indian Bandhani technique in red and white.
Bandhani is a traditional tie-dye technique where the cloth is pinched with fingernails and bound in thread. This gives the fabric lots of dots of different colours.
Please note that some of the threads may still be on the reverse of the cloth, just give it shake, and they will fall off!
This cloth would make beautiful skirts, dresses, tops and shirts such as a stunning simple tee-shirt such as the Camber, light weight summer dresses or tops such as the Fielder Dress/Top or Clover Top or a beautiful and lightweight Mathilde Skirt
Fabric will loose the texture shown in images after washing
For the first wash, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt without any soap or detergent. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
